I’m not receiving notifications – what should I do

If you are not receiving notifications from the app, please go through the following steps:

1. Check your phone’s system settings

On many devices, the operating system can block notifications for specific apps.

Go to:
Settings → Notifications → [app name]
and make sure the “Allow notifications” option is enabled.

Some phones also include additional restrictions such as:

  • Block notifications,

  • Restrict background activity,

  • Battery optimization for this app.

If any of these are turned on, notifications may not be delivered.

2. Verify your phone number

Ensure that your profile contains a correct and active phone number, and that it has been properly verified. An incorrect or inactive number may block certain types of notifications.

3. Disable battery-saving mode

Power-saving modes often limit background work of apps, which can prevent notifications from being delivered.

4. Check your Internet connection

Notifications require a stable Internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

5. Update the app

Make sure you are using the latest version of the app from the App Store or Google Play.

6. Log out and log back in

This can refresh your connection to the server and resolve delivery issues.

What happens to notifications when the app is open?

It is completely normal that when the app is open on your screen, your phone does not show push notifications (no banner, sound, or pop-up).

In this state:

  • new events and updates appear directly inside the app,

  • the system assumes that you are already viewing the content,

  • therefore it does not duplicate the same message as a push notification.

Push notifications will appear normally only when the app is minimized or closed.
