When you add a ride, the app immediately looks for people who travel a similar route at a similar time. In a company network, these are people from your company; in the public network, other public network users. What suggestions are and where to find them: What are suggestions?
How does the app pick people?
- Route. What matters is how much of the route you travel together and how big a detour the driver has to make to pick up the passenger.
- Time. People who travel your route at a similar time appear in “Matched suggestions”. Those who travel the same route at a different time are under “Other suggestions”.
- Role. A passenger sees drivers, a driver sees passengers, and the “Driver or passenger” role sees both.
- Day. Suggestions are separate for each day, because different people may travel on different days.
- Direction. The way to work and the way back are two separate rides, each with its own suggestions.
People you have ridden with before are marked “Recommended” and shown higher on the list.
Suggestion details
When you tap a suggestion, you’ll see:
- the date of the ride,
- the price (“You pay” or “You get”), if your network shows prices,
- “How it fits your route”: common distance, detour for the passenger and match quality,
- “Shares location during the ride”, if the driver shares their location.
From there you can book the ride (“Book now”) or message the person with the chat icon button next to “Book now”. If booking isn’t possible, you’ll see a “Go to conversation” button instead.
New suggestions
The app keeps looking all the time. When someone new appears, you’ll get a notification on your phone. Tapping the notification opens the app – check the suggestions on the ride’s Plan tab.
