You add a ride in the “Add route” wizard, which has four steps: Route → Timing → Options → Summary. You can open it:
- with the “Add” button (with a “+” sign) in the middle of the bottom bar – from any tab,
- with the “Add route” button on the Schedule tab or the Routes tab, if you don’t have any routes yet.
Step 1. Route
- Enter your home address and work address, or pick a route from “Recent routes”.
- If the search can’t find the exact address, use “Pick exact address on map”. Under an address with a street there’s a “Refine on map” link – use it to move the point, e.g. to a gate or a car park.
- You can add up to 10 stops along the way (“Add waypoint”).
- The route must be at least 1 km long. Tap “Next”. If the app says the route is much longer than the road between its start and its end, remove the waypoints that take it off the way.
If you see “We don’t cover your area yet”, you can’t add a route in this area yet. Tap “Join the waiting list” (you can also tell us where you work). We’ll let you know when we launch in your area. “Change route” lets you correct the addresses.
Step 2. Timing
Under “How often do you commute?” choose:
- Single – pick a day and a time. Decide whether it’s your departure time or the time you want to arrive (the app adds the travel time for you). You can also add the way back right away (“Add a return trip”).
- Recurring – a regular commute schedule. Choose your work system:
- Fixed hours – select your commute days (Monday to Friday by default) and enter your work hours: arrival at work and departure from work.
- 2 shifts, 3 shifts or 4 brigades – if you work in shifts. See the “Shift work” section below for details.
A recurring ride is saved as two routes: to work and back home.
Shift work – how to match your schedule to today
The app only knows the pattern of your schedule, e.g. “a week of mornings, a week of afternoons”. It doesn’t know where in that cycle you are today. You have to show it – all your future rides depend on it. If you skip this or set it wrong, your rides will fall on the wrong shifts.
1. Choose your work system
- 2 shifts – morning and afternoon,
- 3 shifts – morning, afternoon and night,
- 4 brigades – a continuous rotation with fixed days off.
2. Check the shift hours. By default: morning 6:00–14:00, afternoon 14:00–22:00, night 22:00–6:00. If your workplace has different hours, change them. “Arrival” is the start of the shift and “Departure” is when you leave work.
3. Set how your shifts change
For 2 and 3 shifts, choose the rotation:
- “Weekly” – the shift changes on Monday, in order: morning → afternoon (→ night) → morning again.
- “Every few days” – the shift changes every set number of days (1 to 9), which you set in “Change every”.
- “Every few weeks” – your own cycle of 2 to 8 weeks. For each week, choose a shift or a week off. Then, under “Which week of the cycle is it now?”, pick the current week.
Finally, select your “Commute days”, e.g. Monday to Friday.
For 4 brigades, choose a shift pattern:
- 2-2-2-2 – 2 mornings, 2 afternoons, 2 nights and 2 days off (8-day cycle),
- 4-4-4 – 4 mornings, a day off, 4 afternoons, a day off, 4 nights and 2 days off (16-day cycle),
- “Custom pattern” – enter the days of your cycle: 1 = morning, 2 = afternoon, 3 = night, W = day off. For example,
11 22 33 WWmeans 2 mornings, 2 afternoons, 2 nights and 2 days off.
4. Set the “TODAY” box – the most important step
Below is a preview of the coming weeks. The first box, marked “TODAY”, is today. Coloured boxes are commute days – the letter shows the shift (R – morning, P – afternoon, N – night). Grey boxes are days without a commute.
- Check your work roster to see which shift you have today.
- Compare it with the “TODAY” box and the description between the arrows, e.g. “Morning · day 2 of 4” or “Off · day 1 of 2 · after nights”.
- If it doesn’t match, tap the ‹ and › arrows until the “TODAY” box and the description show what you actually have today. With a weekly rotation, an arrow moves the cycle by a week; otherwise by a day.
When the same shift lasts several days in a row (e.g. in the 4-4-4 pattern), the shift name alone isn’t enough – also check which day it is (“day 2 of 4”). The same goes for days off: set which day off it is and after which shift. If you work today but don’t commute (e.g. on Saturday when your commute days are Monday to Friday), you’ll see “(no commute today)” next to the description.
Example: you work 3 shifts with a weekly rotation, and this week you’re on afternoons. Tap the arrows until “Afternoon” appears under “Today I work”. The app will work out that next week you’re on nights, and then on mornings again.
5. Confirm your schedule
When you tap “Next”, the app shows a “Check your schedule” window with the preview and a list of “Your first rides”. Compare the dates and times with your work roster. If something doesn’t match, fix it with the arrows in the same window. If everything fits, tap “Looks right, continue”.
Step 3. Options
- I ride as: Driver, Passenger, or Driver or passenger (default). The last option gives you the most matches – depending on the day, you can give someone a lift or ride with someone.
- Company car – turn it on if you drive a company car. Rides in a company car are free for passengers.
- Trip price per passenger – not shown if you ride only as a passenger. The app suggests a price based on the route length. If your network allows it, you can change it or choose “Free”. Some company networks don’t have this section.
- Workplace (public network only, optional) – the name of your plant or company. It helps us find people going to the same place.
- Trip description (optional) – e.g. a meeting point or a gate number.
Step 4. Summary
Check your details. You can correct any section with “Edit”. When you’re done, tap “Save route”.
Once your ride is saved, the app starts looking for people travelling your way. When it finds someone, you’ll get a notification, and you’ll see the number of matches next to the ride on the Schedule tab.
Changing or deleting a ride
- You can change the time or role for selected days on the Schedule tab. The change applies only to the days you select, not to your whole schedule.
- If your address changes or your working hours change for good, delete the route on the Routes tab and add a new one. A recurring ride is a single item there, so you delete both directions at once.
- If a day you change or cancel already has bookings, they will be cancelled. The app warns you before you save the change.
